Brazilian Waxing is a Cash Cow

Brazilian waxing is one of the most lucrative services an esthetician can offer their clients. Compared to eyebrows and under arms its a no brainer that every esthetician should be offering brazilian to their clients.

Statistics show the average female brazilian is priced at around $60 while the average male brazilian can be found right around $80. Knowing that an esthetician can complete a brazilian wax in 30 minutes or less reveals a $120-160 per hour gross revenue for this specialty procedure.

It is suprising more estheticians do not offer such a service being that it's such a cash cow. When asked why many estehticians do not offer brazilian waxes a common reason is lack of education and training on the procedure.

Most esthetic schools do not offer training in the brazilian so many graduating students never offer the service. This is where the issue clearly begins.

Schools need to become less concerned with nudity and more concerned with educating their students on how to provide a full range of servides to their clients for maximum revenue and maximum client experience.

A few estheticians in California offer continuing education training on brazilian waxing but very few offer such instruction on the east coast. Prices typically range from $175-$350 for such training but are well worth the investment.

When it's all said and done you determine which services you offer and you determine which income level you are most comfortable with. That said, brazilian waxing should always be in the back of your mind as a cash cow for your practice when you are finally willing to put it out to graze.

Pubic Lice is Getting Waxed

Pubic lice: a thing of the past with the increase in brazilian waxing

Brazilian waxing has made the news recently since an Australian scientist reported a dramatic decrease in the incidence of pubic lice as a result of this more commonly performed personal grooming procedure. Apparently deforestation can have a positive impact on our environment!

Pubic lice is commonly referred to as " Crabs " to the general public. This 6 legged creature inhabits the hair in the pubic area and is about the size of a pinhead so its visible to the naked eye but best viewed with a microscope.

Brazilian waxing has been growing in popularity in recent years and this is yet another reason to be added to the list of many that currently exist for the benefits of the brazilian wax. Hygiene is of utmost importance with STD's always being a concern for sexually active adults. Crabs are not considered a disease so pubic lice can be transferred sexually yet are not considered an STD.

Be forewarned, brazilian waxing is not being considered a treatment for pubic lice. The mainstay treatment for pubic lice is a topical OTC lotion or mousse applied to the affected area with no need for a prescription. The pubic lice have nowhere to thrive when the pubic hair is removed through a waxing but this is not considered a treatment for this condition.

Is a Brazilian Wax Painful

Is a Brazilian Wax Painful

This is by far the most commonly asked brazilian wax question asked on Yahoo Answers and the question I am going to answer for you right here right now. Common sense indicates that removing hair from its root of the dermis would clearly result in some discomfort. The real question to be answered is "How painful is a brazilian wax?"

We are all wired differently so pain levels are different for all of us. The typical person would describe the pain level of a brazilian bikini wax as being between a 6-8 on a scale of 1 to 10. You may be thinking "Why would someone put themselves through this?". The answer to this question rests on why anyone would put themselves through anything painful. We are looking to achieve a desired outcome and therefore realize that the result is worth the pain necessary to get there.

Let me share with you a few facts about pain during a brazilian wax:

    1. The pain after a strip is pulled off lasts for about 2-5 seconds maximum
    2. Location is everything! Directly above the hood or directly above the penis is the toughest area
    3. Skill and technique of the esthetician can dramatically affect pain levels. More skill = less pain
    4. The more regularly you receive a wax, the less painful
    5. Many estheticians feel darker hair can be thicker and more coarse resulting in more discomfort
    6. Ingesting caffeine ahead of time can decrease pain
    7. Tylenol about an hour before your treatment has been a long time favorite for pain reduction
    8. Tanning ahead of time is a big no no as it sensitizes the skin and increase blood flow to it

After completion of your brazilian wax the pain is over. One could argue there may be some discomfort for a bit afterwards but to be honest this level of dicomfort is extremely low and can be allieviated with some over the counter oral analgesics

People always seem to be looking for an excuse to not do something new and take a risk and with brazilian waxing it certainly is no different. Some people are afraid of the cost of brazilian waxing knowing they can simply shave at home for next to nothing. Many people are afraid to be nude in front of a stranger and this also keeps quite a few modest people away. Then there are the people who are concerned that a brazillian wax will be excruciating. Whatever your reason for not taking the plunge, now is the time to at least try a brazillion wax and cross it off your bucket list.

Vajazzling Can Add Some Sizzle to Your Relationship

Vajazzling is gaining popularity...Are you jumping on the bandwagon

Many salons are starting to realize that offering Vajazzling as an additional service can create a new and exciting buzz for the salon. Vajazzling is the term used to describe adding jewels of various patterns to the area right above the Vajayjay hence the term vajazzling! This is best performed after receiving a Brazilian wax as the skin is perfectly smooth and the jewels can adhere properly to the skin. Placement of the jewels typically dictates how long they will stay adhered. Vajazzling is best applied to the area below the the belt line to avoid the rubbing and friction of the pant line which can cause the jewels to prematurely fall off.

Crystals typically fall off after a couple days depending on the rate of hair growth and how much a person perspires. Many estheticians offer this as an additional service following a brazilian bikini wax. It takes only a matter of minutes and charges average around $15-$20 for this service. New designs seem to be popping up constantly and it now seems like you can have just about any design you could dream up. Crystals can be found in various patterns including hearts, initials, peace signs, playboy bunnies, stars, flowers and so much more!

The next time you plan on receiving your brazilian wax don't forget to ask your estehtician to add some crystals to your vajayjay and spice things up for you and your lover!
